Discussion on wind deviation fault and measures of 500KV ultra-high voltage transmission line

Abstract: With the continuous improvement of people's living standards, people's demand for electricity is also higher and higher, also promoted the rapid development of the power industry, accelerated the formation of the grid. At the same time, the State Grid also attaches more importance to the development of UHV. Uhv transmission lines can realize large-capacity and long-distance transmission, reduce transmission costs and line losses, and have significant economic benefits. However, due to the vast territory and special geographical environment, it is difficult to construct and maintain the UHV transmission lines, especially the influence of the wind on the UHV transmission lines of 500KV. Therefore, in order to make the long-term development of 500KV UHV transmission lines, it is necessary to analyze the wind deviation fault, promote the healthy long-term development of 500KV UHV transmission lines, and meet people's demand for electric energy. Key words: 500KV; Ultra-high voltage transmission; Wind deviation fault; Measures; At present, wind offset fault of 500KV ultra-high voltage transmission lines has become one of the main factors affecting the safe and stable operation of the lines. Compared to lightning accidents and bird damage, wind bias is more likely to cause damage. Once the wind offset fault occurs, it is easy to cause unexpected shutdown of transmission lines, especially the ultra-high voltage transmission lines above 500 kV. Wind offset fault not only seriously affects the reliability of power supply, but also brings huge economic losses to power supply enterprises.

Overview of air deviation faults

In windy weather, the distance between the live conductors of the transmission line and the pylons, bridge pylons, traction cables, other conductors of the transmission line, and nearby trees and buildings is too small. As a result, the transmission line may trigger faults. If the wind deviation is not eliminated in time, the accident will be amplified. There are mainly the following types of wind deflection: the transmission line conductors are located in the passageway on both sides of the building or in the adjacent slope or forest; There are problems of bridge drainage and tower drainage in tension tower. The insulator on the tower discharges the tower or cable. In recent years, with the change of environment and climate and the strong wind, the transmission lines often have wind deviation faults. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the fault prevention to ensure the stable operation of the power system.
